Heather Locklear's Biography
Heather Locklear got her start in "show business" as a model for the UCLA School Store during her years attending the university. Although the job was small, her good looks and natural talent got her noticed fast, and she began modeling for larger agencies almost immediately. She started to get inquiries about acting and decided to give it a try. She landed a role on the popular show Dynasty in 1981, leading to other roles on the police drama T.J. Hooker and on the short-lived sitcom, Going Places. Locklear married her first husband, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, in 1984. In 1992, she landed her most well-known role as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place. The fairly unpopular show became extremely popular once Locklear and her attitude spiced up the cast, and she quickly became a central character. Although her career was going well, her private life was not. In 1994, amongst tabloid rumors of abuse, Locklear and husband Tommy Lee divorced. She rebounded quickly, however, and she met and married a second musician, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, later that year. The two have a child, Ava Elizabeth, who was born in 1997. Heather has concentrated heavily on raising her daughter, but her career has continued to thrive thanks to her role on ABC's Spin City. The source is GistTV |
